Conklin 9-string
This is my new Conklin Sidewinder 9 string neck-thru-body bass, the only one like it in the world, custom built for me in April 2001. This is the extreme in extended range instruments, tuned from F on the low string to B on the high, anything less is just a stick with strings. Body;
swamp ash, figured walnut solid top
Neck;
maple & purple heart neck-thro-body, 3" width at nut, tilt-back headstock w/walnut overlay, block inlay w/signature at 12th fret, my design inlay on headstock
Electronics;
single Bartolini soapbar pickup, ABM bridge w/piezo saddles, active NTMB-EQ (3 band), Dual Neutrix output jacks w/separate outs for piezo and magnetic pickups, mini toggle switch to go from separate mono to true stereo output
Hardware;
all gold, ABM bridge, Gotoh tuners
